a poetic documentary film that uncovers the rich, layered and macabre history
of New York City’s famous Washington Square Park.
One of the most popular and bustling areas of Downtown Manhattan, this park land has historically witnessed a farm, a slaves community, a military parade ground and a potter’s field. To this day 20000 bodies (victims of the 19th century yellow fever outbreak) were buried, the remains of which continue to be under the park to this day.
